Walmac Farm Pennsylvania at Regal Heir Farm Announces Breeders Stimulus Plan
12/31/2008

Walmac Farm LLC introduces a Breeders Stimulus Plan that will apply to their 2009 stud fees.
The plan offers a breeder the following options:
  • pay all stud fees from the proceeds of the sale of either the foal or yearling produced by the breeding
  • convert every mating to a foal share arrangement within 30 days of foaling
The Breeders Stimulus Plan will apply to all nominations sold for stallions standing at Walmac Farm Kentucky and Walmac Pennsylvania at Regal Heir Farm.

"Bobby Trussell, co-owner of Walmac Farm and I have talked extensively about the need for an across the board assistance package for 2009 breedings since markets of every variety worldwide are at a standstill. We hope this creates a win-win situation for mare and stallion owners alike" said Johnny Jones, Managing Director of Walmac Farm.

For further information, contact George Hills or Tamara Evans at Walmac-Kentucky: 859-299-0473.

Walmac's One Great Cat will stand stud at Regal Heir Farm, PA in 2009Walmac's Eavesdropper and One Great Cat to Stand at Regal Heir in 2009

One Great Cat, an English group II runner whose dam is a full sister to successful sire Fusaichi Pegasus, will enter stud in 2009 at Walmac Pennsylvania at Regal Heir Farm in Grantville, Pa. His fee is $5,000.

A 3-year-old son of Storm Cat, One Great Cat won or placed in six of nine races and earned $86,721 while racing in Europe. In 2007 as a 2-year-old One Great Cat ran third in the Urban-I Champagne (Eng-II) and Richmond (Eng-II) Stakes. This year in Ireland, One Great Cat won at a mile and was stakes-placed five days later.

One Great Cat is out of Blissful (by Mr. Prospector), making him a full brother to group stakes-placed Where's That Tiger. His second dam, stakes-placed Angel Fever, is a full sister to Preakness Stakes (gr. I) winner Pine Bluff and half-sister to grade I winner Demons Begone.

Eavesdropper, Regal Heir Farm stallion

Eavesdropper, by Kingmambo - Weekend Surprise by Secretariat is the only half-brother to champion and sire of champions A.P. Indy at stud in the United States. The stakes winner is also a half-brother to Summer Squall. Eavesdropper's first crop raced as 2-year-olds in 2008 and produced 6 winners from 14 starters including 1 stakes placed finisher, good for earnings of $95,547. Those figures landed Eavesdropper on the top 100 Freshman Sires list and are better than any of Pennsylvania's 2008 freshman sires.
